IYRN Forum Guidelines
The Integral Yoga Research Network (IYRN) Discussion Forum is a curated academic forum dedicated to research related to the Integral Yoga of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother (Mirra Alfassa). The forum brings together scholars, researchers, and graduate students to exchange ideas, ask questions, and share resources. It is administered by the IYRN Advisory Board, which oversees the following guidelines. All members are expected to follow these guidelines to maintain a high level of clarity, rigour, and collegiality. Repeated violations may result in moderated status or removal from the list.
1. Scope and Tone
IYRN is a scholarly forum. Contributions should be relevant to Integral Yoga and related academic inquiry. No discriminatory or biased language is permitted, including references to caste, class, gender, nationality, race, religion, sexuality, or ability.
2. Professional Conduct
Engage with ideas, not individuals. No personal attacks, dismissive language, or ad hominem arguments.
3. Relevance and Brevity
Posts should be concise, clearly written, and of general relevance. Personal messages should be taken off-list.
4. Identification
All posts must include full name and institutional affiliation (or independent scholar status). Messages must be sent from the subscribed email address.
5. Sharing Links and Content
External links may be shared if relevant. Each link must include a brief explanation of its relevance.
6. No Commercial Use
No commercial or promotional messaging. Academic announcements (events, publications, calls for papers) are permitted if relevant.
7. Confidentiality
Content shared on the list is not for public circulation. Do not quote, reproduce, or share discussions without explicit permission from the author(s).
8. Institutional Position
The IYRN Advisory Board does not issue endorsements or take positions. Views expressed are those of individual contributors.
9. Liability
IYRN does not endorse all shared content and is not liable for outcomes arising from list interactions.
